Music Fusian NW is a dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering students and individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultivating a deep understanding and genuine appreciation of the Asian American experience, while celebrating the boundless creativity, resilience, and strength that diverse cultures inspire.

At the core of our vision is the Asian community, symbolized by our coined term “Fusian” – a harmonious blend of “Fuse” and “Asian.”

Guided by our unwavering belief in the transformative value of music education, we purposefully weave music into our projects and activities. Recognizing music as a universal language, we harness its power to unite and inspire.

Our story

Since our inception in 2019, we have curated remarkable events that harmonize the talents of professional, amateur, and student musicians from diverse backgrounds. Through these unique collaborations, we offer audiences an exquisite fusion of Western, Asian, and various cultural musical experiences.

At the heart of our endeavor lies a profound commitment to empower students and individuals from different backgrounds. We firmly believe in the transformative force of music education, providing opportunities for connection, collaboration, and growth. We celebrate the unrivaled creativity and strength that diverse cultures bring, forging a harmonious symphony of inspiration.

However, amidst the challenges faced in 2021, our purpose took on an even greater significance. The alarming surge in anti-Asian hate propelled us to embark on a new initiative to weave music into the storytelling of the Asian American legacy, experience, culture, and spirit. Our goal is to illuminate the path forward, advancing knowledge and fostering genuine appreciation of the Asian American experience.

We amplify communities through music, igniting joy and fostering connections. From hospitals to cultural celebrations, our melodies bring harmony and celebrate diverse voices.

Joining hands with organizations like PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, we spread healing melodies that uplift spirits. In assisted living communities, like Cascade Inn, our music brings comfort and warmth to those we touch.

We proudly represent Asian heritage at events such as the Vancouver Peace and Justice Fair, the Vancouver Washington Chinese Association New Year Gala, and the Portland Chinese Festival. Through vibrant performances, we share our rich culture and promote unity.
